Meet the Angels Cast
Performing at the Apollo Theatre in New York on February 10, 2010...
Weighing in from Atlanta Georgia, Zacharias Hassan Muhammad, AKA Zac the Singer, the Servant.
Zac is a talented singer, performer, and songwriter. He started his Journey to music at the age of eight when he discovered that he had a voice for singing. He began classical training at the tender age of twelve with his choir director at his middle school.
Brother Ishmael is making his debut in this project because he sees it as a worthy cause, and in addition, he is good at what he does. He is not light weight, ladies and gentlemen. He is the National Representative of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, and biological son of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Are you kidding me? You haven't heard him speak? Well, you can tune in every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. CST by directing your browser to noi.org. Make no mistake about it, God Willing, we plan to work as hard as we can to make this one of the most enjoyable weekends ever!
This site and all information within it is used and is intended to bring awareness to domestic violence, the need for literacy, to encompass cultural, religious, artistic, and the liberal arts.
ONE rationale for our program is the fact that people are being murdered because of domestic issues every day:
A growing killer that affects all races and walks of life is domestic violence. According to the United States Department of Justice (2003), one-third of all female homicide victims in America are killed by husbands, ex-husbands, boyfriends or ex-boyfriends. Family violence costs the nation from $5 to $10 billion annually in medical expenses, police and court costs, shelters and foster care, sick leave, absenteeism, and non-productivity. There is hardly an individual who does not know of someone who has suffered some form of abuse in an intimate relationship. All one has to do to help is increase awareness on the matter. Our esteemed guest, Brother Ishmael Muhammad starred as Eugene in If Angels are Men in all three acts. He is pictured above on stage at the VBC on March 28th. Brother Ishmael is from Chicago, Illinois and he laid this thing out for us...and for this, we give thanks. Brother Ishmael is gracious enough to assist us with this project. I cannot express enough what a high honor this is, by the Grace of God.
Starring as Michael Jackson
Growing up on the West side of Atlanta, Georgia, he listened to various artists such as: Prince, Michael Jackson, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, The Isley Brothers, Marvin Gaye, and Fleetwood Mac just to name a few. This strengthened his passion for music and performing. He then started professional vocal training at the age of 15 in the R&B field.
Zac began to showcase his craft at talent shows, open mics, and in front of various artists in the music industry. He went on to do this for four years until 2004 when he put his music on hold and focused his life on the ministry.
Four years later he began singing again and started his own record label in the summer of 2008 named FreeWorld Entertainment and released his first single to the public in July of that same year which can be heard on the radio in the South Eastern Region. He is currently working on his debut album “ Zac, the Singer the Servant” which is set to be released July 4, 2010. With his powerful angelic voice and explosive electrifying dance moves, he is sure to please the heart, mind, and soul of every listener.
Zacharias Hassan has been competing in talent competitions throughout the city of Atlanta over the past year. He recently auditioned for the Apollo Amateur Competition and was invited back as a contestant.
Prior to his travels to New York to compete at the Apollo theatre Zacharias is releasing a new CD/DVD set entitled “ZAC UNVEILED” which includes music from his forthcoming album.

The play, If Angels are Men is an avenue to bring awareness to cultural issues; the play is intended to unify people regardless of race, religion, or creed.
The end of domestic violence, the killer can only be in sight when literacy is at its highest. Ignorant people use guns and their fists to make a difference. We at Rising South use art as a means of expression to make their point. We only fight with those who fight with us on the basis of truth, but we are never the aggressors (smile), because the predators are our prey.
Domestic Health and Abuse Awareness Symposium----The first one took place on August 20, 2005 and it was a huge success! We will do this in your area:
Abuse Symposium With refreshments and entertainment,
dialogue and support, education, and
healing
The panel discussion brings about many issues--the main issue at the last conference was the female's role versus the male's role in marital situations. Lots of sensitive topics also fell under that umbrella. We plan to have another symposim as soon as possible in Huntsville or one of the nearby cities. If you would like more information, or if you would like to be a part of the symposium, please send an e-mail to that effect.
